Maria Amerstorfer

Maria is an Associate Trainer with d’Oz International. She has been working as a trainer, coach and facilitator in Singapore since 1977, conducting programs and providing services in the following areas: Emotional Intelligence (general and specific applications for leadership, including EQ assessment), People-Centered Management, Team-development and -management, and other areas of intra- and interpersonal skills. Her coaching work focuses primarily on interpersonal competencies, self-awareness and –management ( including emotional management), leadership transitions, development of high potentials, building leadership confidence as well as personal efficiency and effectiveness. She is also a PEP (Personal Efficiency Program) Facilitator to deliver PEP.
Her current work also entails facilitation services for public and private companies or their departments/teams to define their vision, mission, and values, develop implementation strategies and desired organizational cultures. Since 2006 she is involved in management assessments (360 feedback processes and other tools), benchmarking, and assessment-based management development as well as employee satisfaction surveys and related consulting work.
She has worked with local and multi-national companies from different areas, such as the service industry, manufacturing, banking and finance, engineering, etc. Clients include Thales Aerospace, Transocean, Tech Semiconductor, Port of Singapore Authority (PSA), National University of Singapore, Shell, Tetra Pak, Bain & Co, Public Utilities Board (PUB), SingTel Telecommunications, Electrolux, Keppel Management, FCI-Areva, StarHub Telecom, AIA Insurance, Coface, Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), AXA Insurance, with participants from Singapore as well as other Asian countries, Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Since 2006 she is also conducting training in Pakistan.
Previously she worked as a division manager of an international personnel services company, where she was in charge of setting up and managing the company’s new human resource consulting division (focusing on executive search) in Austria. She has also worked part-time for a business and management institute, teaching HRM and OD. She has international working experience in Europe, USA and Singapore and is currently a Permanent Resident in Singapore, where she has been living since 1995.
She has a Masters in Human Resource Management and is a certified Management Consultant. In 2001 she attended an extensive program at CoachU & Corporate CoachU to be trained as a Personal and Executive Coach. She is a certified Life Skills Coach and a US-certified Behavioral Consultant based on DISC Personality Profiling. In 2002 she was certified to use the EQ-I – an instrument to assess Emotional Intelligence, followed by being authorized to certify others in 2007.
